A Resume Objective
Honestly, your resume objective is just redundant and a waste of space. Everyone and their mother is going to claim that they’re a hard-working individual seeking a challenging position. Do yourself a favor and just scrap it.
What you can do instead: Instead of just talking about how great you are, use your resume to showcase the skills and experiences that the specific employer is looking for.
Hiring managers spend approximately six seconds looking at a resume before they decide if it’s garbage, so make sure to focus yours on your specific qualifications.
Watch your grammar
Sentences in resumes are written like headlines and are in the first person. In other words, the statement “I am known for consistently exceeding my sales quotas” becomes “Known for consistently exceeding sales quotas.” Another one of the biggest mistakes when writing a resume is when people mix first person and third person. For example, although “Easily learns new software” sounds right, that is the third-person (“she learns”) and should really be “Easily learn” (“I learn”). Small but important point, as you do want your resume to be grammatically correct.
Adding Too Much of Experience
HR manager does not have much time to go through your papers of resume. They will look for the recent job profiles you are associated with if you are experienced candidates.
So, even if you have experience of more than ten years, you do not have to mention each in details. Just highlight the last few ones you were associated with, and that’s enough to impress the HR management department.
Include one telephone number rather than multiple numbers.
If you must list more than one number, make sure to specify under what conditions the other numbers should be used.
An Email Address From Your Current Employer
